This is a seasonal position from early May to early October.

The accountant/cashier at Paradise Inn is responsible for accounting, reporting and cash handling at Paradise Inn, including maintaining an appropriate cash supply, completing daily cash reports, and auditing paperwork.  Receives working direction from the Controller.



  • Promote the spirit of Guest Services Hospitality Standards.
  • Assignment and supervision of safety deposit boxes.
  • Ordering and maintaining an adequate change supply.
  • Daily assists cashiers on correct cash out procedures.
  • Assists supervisors/lead clerks of proper procedure for filling out daily cash reports.
  • Enters daily sales on the web.
  • Verifies readings, over-rings, credit cards, etc.
  • Assists Controller in training cashiers.
  • Check all daily cash reports for completeness and accuracy.
  • Verifies readings, over-rings, credit cards, etc.
  • Verifies machine check reports and balance.
  • Skim registers, making drops when necessary.
  • Orders and maintains an adequate quantity of supplies and forms.
  • Distribute incoming company mail.
  • Audit restaurant guest checks and comps.
  • Cash checks.
  • Calculates monthly tip reports.
  • Performs such other related duties as directed or required.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Calculator, computer, typewriter, keyset telephone, copier, files, safes, cash registers, FAX and office supplies.

NATURE AND SOURCE OF SUPERVISION: Receives working direction from the Controller.



PREREQUISITES: High School or equivalent education required, college preferred.


Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively. Must be able to write legibly as well as read and understand directions and instructions.  Appearance must be in compliance with company guidelines.

Must be able to pass a credit check. Must be able to stoop, bend, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. Exposure to wet floors. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Must be service and safety oriented.  Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, humor, and common sense.  Must be able to adapt to the isolation of park life.
